Atheeqe Ansari holds a BS in Business Administration (2002) from the American University of Sharjah. In 2003, Atheeqe established Electric Way as a business that represents international electric cables within the UAE, and within 15 years only, Atheeqe successfully managed to convert his little start-up that was located in a small warehouse in Ras Al Khor area into the region's largest center for cables and power solutions now headquartered in a purpose-built premises extending over 100,000 square feet and headquartered at Dubai's National Industries Park.
Dr. Mohammad holds a BS in Electrical Engineering (2005) from the American University of Sharjah. Dr. Mohammad pursed his MS in Microfluidics and VLSI Design (2007) and PhD (2010) from the University of Alberta, Canada. Dr. Mohammad founded a successful startup, Elite Global- Canada, in 2011. In 2013, Dr. Mohammad became a partner at Partner at McKinsey & Company Leading McKinsey's medical device operations practice.
Dr. Ghanim Kashwani hold a BS in Civil Engineering (2011) and a MS in Civil Engineering (2013) from the American University of Sharjah. Dr. Ghanim holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, UK. Dr. Ghanim is the first Emirati to be Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) (MICE) from Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Additionally, Kashwani is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) (MSSE) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr) (MCMI). Kashwani has an industrial experience with major companies as he worked as Team leader in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for several years. Moreover, as Chartered Scientist (CSci), UK, Kashwani is currently working as an academic in international universities such as New York University (NYU). He publishes many papers in international journals in which his research interests include construction materials, safety engineering, and fire engineering.
Shaima holds a BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biochemical Engineering (2016) from the American University of Shajrah. Shaima continued her post-graduate work at University College London, where she received a MSc in Neuroscience with honors (2017). Shaima returned from London and started working in the AUS a research assistant. She is currently working on two projects to investigate the organization and development of brain circuits that mediate visual perception. Shaima is also a key contributor to another project in collaboration with New York University Abu Dhabi, aimed at revealing differences in anatomical brain features in mice that are susceptible. Shaima intends on pursuing a PhD in neuroscience and has recently submitted applications to Harvard, Stanford, UCLA, and McGill.
Ahoud Al Ali holds a BA in Public Administration (2005) from the American University of Sharjah and a Masters in International Business from Wollongong University in Dubai. Ahoud is currently holding the position of Operations Manager at Airport Financing Company at the Dubai Department of Finance. She is also a Board member and treasurer for the UAE Financial Markets Association. Al Ali has successfully launched her own business, “The Hair Salon”, which was selected amongst the top hair salons in UAE.
Fatma Ahmad Bazargan is the Head of the Information Security Office at Injazat Data Systems. She previously worked for Masdar as the Head of IT and IT Security, overseeing IT security at Masdar City, and managed the security research and analysis function at the UAE National Computer Emergency Response Team. In 2006, she became the first female UAE national to hold the highly renowned Certification of the Information Systems Security Professional. She received a computer engineering degree from AUS in 2002.
Iba Masood is the co-founder and CEO of TARA, software which helps companies acquire talent and automate their workflow. She was part of the Winter 2015 class at Silicon Valley seed accelerator YCombinator, which also invested in Dropbox and Airbnb, and also started gradberry.com, the region's first internship platform. She is the youngest winner of the Cartier Women's Initiative Award and a past winner of the MIT Global Business Plan competition. She got her bachelor's degree in finance from AUS, graduating magna cum laude at 19.
Jamal Jama Al-Musharakh is the Deputy Permanent Representative of the UAE at the United Nations. After getting his bachelor's degree from AUS in international studies in 2009 and going on to get a master’s degree in international affairs at Zayed University, he joined the UAE Foreign Ministry. After starting in the European Affairs Department, he became the Assistant to the UAE Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan before rising to his current position.
Mohammad Al-Shehhi is as Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Design District, having risen from COO. He has been responsible for delivering Phase 1 of the district, where over 7000 people now work every day. He has held a number of prominent roles within the broadcast sector, working as Senior Director of Broadcast Services at du and rising to Deputy CEO at Dubai Media Incorporated. He received his bachelor's degree from AUS in electrical engineering in 2003 and then got a master’s degree in Digital Wireless Communications from the University of Leeds.
Mohammed Asaad Ghazal is Assistant Professor and Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Abu Dhabi University. He has authored 50 publications in technical journals and international conferences and won innumerable awards, including the President’s Cup at AUS. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from AUS in computer science in 2004, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA, he went on to receive a master’s degree and a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Concordia University in Canada.
Since graduating in 2002, Imran has excelled in the different management positions he held. He is well recognized in the telecom project management field and he is currently the Senior Director – Program Management with du. In that position, he has become one of du’s top 10 managers out of 200 managers.
Imran received the International Manager of the Year from the International Project Management Association (IPMA) in 2007, 2008, and 2014. He has also been a board member in the Executive Council of the US based Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2011. In addition, he has participated as a keynote speaker in many events and conferences in the United States, Australia, Europe, and Asia.
Reem has proven herself in numerous fields and careers after graduating from AUS. She is currently one of the board members of Sharjah Tatweer Forum, and the Head of Finance and Budgeting for the organization. On top of that, Reem, with her background in interior designing founded Thaya Floral and Gourmet Boutique along with her sister. She was able to significantly contribute to the development and brand image of the business. Moreover, Reem has experience with the Binkaram group as a director of purchasing as well as a turnkey designer, and has worked for the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Dubai International Airport on various design projects. Reem has recently become the acting director of the Department of Children Centers, which pertains to the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
In addition to her professional achievements in the numerous businesses and organizations, Reem takes pride in charity event planning, particularly “Pink Caravan” which raises awareness for breast cancer. She has been actively organizing many events for Pink Caravan for the past 5 years to spread knowledge about the disease.
